Terms of Service

1. About ContractorSelect.me

ContractorSelect.me (“the Service”) is a UAE-based online marketplace that helps clients — homeowners, retailers, offices, exhibitions and property managers (“Clients”) — find and compare verified contractors (“Contractors”) for renovation, fit-out and contracting projects. The Service is operated from Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account, posting a project, or submitting a proposal, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into legally binding contracts under UAE law to use the Service. Contractors must additionally hold a valid UAE trade licence covering the services they offer and must complete our verification process before contacting Clients.

4. The role of ContractorSelect.me

ContractorSelect.me is a venue for introductions only. Any contract for services is a private agreement between the Client and the Contractor. We are not a party to that contract, do not perform any construction or renovation work and do not handle payment between the parties. We do not guarantee any specific outcome, price, timeline, or quality of work.

5. Contractor verification

We perform a basic check of trade licence, identity and references before activating a Contractor account. “Verified” on the Service means only that those checks were completed at the time of activation. It is not an endorsement, warranty, or insurance of any kind. Clients are responsible for their own due diligence before signing any contract.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information.
• Circumvent the platform to avoid its quality, verification, or fee mechanisms.
• Harass, defame, or threaten other users.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of UAE law.
• Scrape, copy, or resell Service content without written permission.

7. Fees

Posting a project as a Client is free. Contractors may be charged a per-lead fee or subscription, as described to them at signup. We do not take a percentage of any project value.

8. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms or that we reasonably believe poses a risk to other users. You may close your account at any time by emailing support@contractorselect.me.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or AED 500, whichever is greater.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. The courts of Dubai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a banner on the Service. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
