Our commitment
We are working towards conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. Every new page and feature is reviewed against the standard before it ships and we are progressively retrofitting older surfaces as we go.
What we have today
- Semantic HTML across all pages — headings, landmarks, lists and form labels.
- Keyboard navigability of every interactive control. Focus is always visible.
- Colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 for body text and 3:1 for large text.
- Right-to-left support for Arabic, with appropriate
dirattributes set on the document root. - Resizeable text — the site reflows cleanly up to 200% zoom without loss of content.
- Form errors surface in plain language with
aria-liveannouncements where applicable. - No content depends on colour alone to convey meaning.
What we are working on
- Full screen-reader labelling on every chart, modal and dynamic notification.
- Higher-contrast theme variant for users with low vision.
- Reduced-motion preference detection (respecting
prefers-reduced-motion). - Captioning of any video content we publish in the future.
Tell us what we missed
If something on ContractorSelect.me isn't working for you — a button you can't reach by keyboard, copy your screen reader skips, contrast too low to read — please email support@contractorselect.me with a description of the issue and the page URL. We treat accessibility reports as priority bugs and aim to acknowledge within two business days.
